About The Park
At The Park Church of Christ, our mission is simple and foundational:
To Be, Make, and Mature Disciples of Christ.
When you choose to be a part of The Park Church of Christ, the expectation is that you understand and support this mission. That understanding should lead to intentional decisions that align with and advance the purpose of making disciples.
As we pursue our mission to Be, Make, and Mature Disciples, we focus on five key expressions of spiritual growth and community life:
Five Expressions of Our Mission
-

Be Inviting
We are called to invite others into the life of Christ and His church—whether that’s through worship, Bible class, small groups, or service opportunities.
Why do we invite?
We believe that God desires all people to know Him, and that His church is to be actively reaching out to share Jesus with the world.
“Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus.” — Acts 8:35
We follow the example of faithful disciples, like Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8, who responded to God’s leading by inviting others into a relationship with Christ.
-

Belong
At the Park Church of Christ, we want every person not only to participate in the mission but also to experience meaningful connection and community.
We believe that God created us for relationship, not isolation. Each person brings unique gifts, abilities, and experiences that are essential to the life and health of the church body.
“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” — 1 Corinthians 12:27
When you belong, you don’t just attend—you engage. You become part of a spiritual family where your presence matters, and your contributions help us function as a complete, thriving body, lacking nothing.
-

Believe & Be Baptized
At The Park, we want to be a church family that is both inviting and where every person can truly belong. But even more foundational is the call to believe in Jesus Christ and to respond in baptism.
What we believe about God shapes our entire lives. Our beliefs form the foundation for how we live, how we love, and how we grow as disciples of Jesus.
Baptism symbolizes our participation in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3–4), marking the beginning of a new life in Him.
We believe that salvation is the undoing of sin and the restoration of our relationship with God. It is by grace through faith that we are saved—salvation is a gift from God, not earned by works (Ephesians 2:8–9, Thess 5:16-18, Romans 6:4).
-

Be Sacrificial
We are called to serve God with a sacrificial mindset, putting the needs of others before our own. This means giving generously of our time, talents, and tithes.
Though God does not need our gifts, our acts of sacrificial giving and service are expressions of obedience that draw us closer to Him. Living sacrificially connects us to God’s heart and deepens our relationship with Him.
Hebrews 13:16, Luke 9:23, Romans 12:1
-

Be in Prayer
Prayer is the foundation and lifeline of our church. Both leadership and members actively commit to covering the decisions and mission of the church in prayer.
We continually ask God to protect, guide, and empower us. This guidance comes with the understanding that joining Christ in His mission requires a wholehearted commitment to prayer. (Phil 4.6, I Thes 5.17, Col 4.2, Eph 6.18)
-

The Invitation
We understand that exploring a church’s beliefs can feel overwhelming. Every question, concern, or hesitation you may carry is valid—and we welcome your journey.
We invite you to come and spend time with us.. Join us for a worship service and experience it firsthand, Sit in a Bible class and listen to the heart of what’s being taught, Serve alongside us and discover the joy of working together for God’s kingdom.
Most importantly, spend time in prayer, asking God for discernment and clarity. We trust that He will guide your heart and mind as you seek a church family where you can grow, belong, and follow Jesus more fully.
We’d love to walk that journey with you.
